The Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation of Italy is strongly engaged in the implementation of emergency programs in Lebanon and Syria in favor of displaced populations and affected local communities from the consequences of the Syrian conflict.

Armadilla, in partnership with the non-governmental organization Cooperation Territories in the World – CTW, is carrying out an initiative assistance in Syria, with funds from the Italian Cooperation for alimentation and the protection of displaced people and of the community living in the Damascus area.

We intend to provide concrete support to the most vulnerable families, through the distribution of alimentation, with the aim of preventing the deterioration of living conditions and promoting resilience of the most vulnerable categories.

The intervention is part of Armadilla’s broader intervention program to alleviate the discomfort of families in the current dramatic circumstances, favoring access to the former necessity genres, psycho-social support, socio-educational and health services resume capacity in order to favor them, thus helping establish a connection between the emergency and development phase.
